We believe the children! "But nothing happened to me" I don't believe you.

This case is so eerily similar to the Martinville Daycare scandal covered in the Uncover- Satanic Panic podcast.

This was in my hometown! I lived 3 minutes from this school, and remember passing it everyday (long since been torn down)...….It was so disturbing when this case broke!

Careful Captain... Me Too absolutely does NOT believe in innocent until proven guilty. And as per some previous comments I assume you’re a supporter

This is the case that changed child interview techniques. They botched this so badly. Child interview is now predominantly cognitive interview style rather than Q&A. They were basically “leading the witness” that was at an age prone to fantastical thinking... obviously. Where were the sane people to question ANY of this when the exceptionally weird things started happening?

You're so right McKenzie! I have to think that is the true definition of panic. This comes out in when - allegations that were bizarre from a woman who truly needed help, sparked fear and panic and then all rational thinking went out the window. We have experienced this recently. We are warned that a virus is spreading and BOOM! all of the toilet paper everywhere suddenly disappears. Panic causes this type of senseless knee jerk reaction. The Edge (starring the great Sir Anthony Hopkins, 1997) is one of my favorite movies. In the movie, Hopkins' character and some others have to battle through the Alaskan wilderness and survive long enough to make it to civilization. Hopkins is constantly reminding everyone - what is the number one reason people die in the wilderness? - Panic. There's a great movie recommendation for staying in tomorrow night! Cheers Nic

Six years this trial went! What is most remarkable to me is that the state did not get a conviction, regardless of having no case. Such charges are usually enough to get a conviction, props to California jury. Could you imagine the McMartins walking in Mississippi, Arkansas, or Utah? Strongly recommend the HBO movie about this with James Woods.
