More confused about the case after I listened than before I listened. The author on the second part just threw a bunch of speculation out there, guess we got to buy the book to see if there is anything there. With so many cases, especially ones that are unsolved, the police just don't release enough information so you can make a hypothesis. This starts to become a real head scratcher when you have cases like the Springfield Three, Austin Yogurt Shop murders, etc.. that took place more than 25 years ago. Hey, if three decades pass and you have not made an arrest, maybe the time has come for you to share some more information, you obviously are not on the scent.

MG - that is Appelman's whole point with the book... That LE needs to release and share the information. I apologize that we put out a confusing show. We were trying point out that they had suspects and that there was evidence. We now KNOW because of Barry King (Tim King's father) and J Appelman. They especially Barry have submitted thousands of F.O.I.A. requests. The information they received was some of what we reported in the second episode. It's a confusing case because like we pointed out and back up with a little bit of evidence it's very likely that several men were involved in the abductions, rapes, murders and body placement of these four children. Nic, in no way was I slamming you, I was just expressing the frustration I have with police forces that fail to solve cases, while at the same time, holding back information. Heck, we all know that cases solved after two decades or more are probably only going to be solved by a DNA hit and if you don't have DNA, it ain't getting solved. Keep up the good work and cheers!

I loved this episode. I thought it was very well done and I really thought the guest brought up a good point. Police botched the investigation and they need to be upfront about what they have and don't have. I loved how Nick takes us through all the awful, evil pedos of the area and time, as difficult as it was to listen to people need to know what happened. I also always appreciate when the Captain is fully angry at the bad-guys, or even suspected bad-guys. I just need to hear that part from one of them, Nick or the Captain. It's helps me feel someone else gets my outrage at the injustice I guess. In any case, great 2 parter!
